your tips are amazing, to actually see your settings make this kinda real bit odd but I guess not just another RUclips but more of a person that genuinely right here to help us. I have learnt so much. For that I'm grateful. Mind you i did try and chuck trats at my dogs and they were puzzled and I spent time with the vacuum cleaner. Silly dogs.

The only problem I have tho.. is that moving the light also moves my shadows.. it's pretty easy on a flat surface because there's no shadows being cast.. But in a portrait, if I move the light, I'll have moved my shadows and most of the times make the whole thing really light on one side and dark on the other 😢

Well done Jessy! 🎉 Everything was correct and no cause for criticism. I do that at least once a week in our store. Just keep in mind not every liquid is for every sensor. Read always instruction carefully and at any doubts ask support. And for all who think you can ignore this only way of sensor cleaning as Jess showed us, consider yourselves lucky not to have destroyed your sensor.

Great video and very helpful. In what seems a lifetime ago when cleaning the sensor on my DSLR, I discovered that as part of my sensor cleaning process using a microfiber or something with some appropriate cleaning solution and wiping the lens contacts on the camera body AND cleaning the back of the lens entirely was very helpful as often dust etc would gather in those areas. Without doing that, I sometimes would clean the sensor only to have dust go right back on the sensor when I reattached the lens. As Jess showed us, cleaning the entire camera and lens during the sensor cleaning process is a good idea.

the first time is nerve wracking especially if the camera is still under warranty and you dont have time to have it done professionally ;)

I clean sensors for clients - a good tip is to vacuum the chip before doing a wet cleaning. I have made a thin aquarium hose that has just enough suction to lift an A4 sheet of paper. I run the hose over the chip with only a couple of millimeters of distance and can often remove all particles, thus avoiding a wet cleaning. This way, you also remove all particles before a wet cleaning, which could potentially scratch the CMOS sensor chip. Another good tip is to use a Quasar Sensor Loupe to find any dust on the CMOS sensor. I only use Pec Pads and Eclipse fluid for cleaning the CMOS - works perfectly!

Since I use Capture One for my RAW files, I then bring the Tif files into Photoshop and do noise reduction last. Doing noise reduction first really messes with the workflow and is not optimal. Is there any software other than Topaz that allows you to do noise reduction last?

Topaz early products were absolutely useful. Their AI over the past 2 years has gone into cartoon mode. Not sure what happened over at topaz, they constantly update and rarely is it a good thing.

Unfortunately there is not an ID setting on my 685 F. The firmware update apparently will put one in but the firmware files are all for a PC, I got a Mac. Hair pull time!

Great video demonstration. I'm currently debating on either a 70-200mm or 135mm prime lens on a full frame camera. Love the idea of the zoom, but thats a chunky lens to carry around. And being self conscious for occasions when I might want to use it for street photography.

Hey there, long time lurker with a tip here. I hate having to restart lightroom each time - so what I ended up doing was: 1. Create a folder that's easily accessible. 2. Change Spyderchkr preferences to deposit lightroom/acr presets into said folder. 3. After creating the profile, I use the Import Preset in develop module to easily and quickly navigate to the folder containing my new calibration 4. $$$
